The story follows Mimi Mimica, a young mime who leaves her old life behind and journeys to Annualia, where she discovers a world of fantastical creatures, new friendships, and unexpected challenges. Alongside her companions, Mimi explores a realm divided into distinct seasonal regions, each with its own cultures, mysteries, and inhabitants.
With its blend of whimsical fantasy, adventure, and character-driven storytelling, Tales of Annualia offers a vibrant and imaginative world brought to life through both visual and audio storytelling.
My Contribution:
I was honoured to be personally approached by Jordan Scarzfava to voice Madame Malizia, one of the most formidable antagonists in Tales of Annualia. Set within the series’ vibrant fantasy world, Tales of Annualia explores a seasonal realm filled with unique characters and their own stories.
Who Is Madame Malizia?
Madame Malizia is the ruthless ringleader of The Merry Andrews, a travelling circus troupe where she commands control through fear, manipulation, and an iron will. While she thrives in the spotlight and enjoys the fame that comes with her position, she views her performers less as people and more as tools to achieve wealth, influence, and recognition.
Her debut in “Taking a Joke”, part of the Perennial Fables sister series, offered the opportunity to explore a character defined by theatricality, authority, and a darker edge beneath the performance. Bringing Malizia to life required balancing her charismatic stage presence with the cold ambition and cruelty that make her such a compelling antagonist.
