One more dead body won’t ruin this place more. – Eve Parker

Through a fortunate series of events, I came across a general casting call for voice actors posted in the Creators Network Discord — a community dedicated to connecting creatives within the industry. I reached out to the original poster, Veta Phoenix, sharing my website and contact information, and hoped for the best. To my delight, she soon contacted me, explaining that she was casting for four separate projects, with Concord Stories being one of them.

Concord Stories is an add-on for Sim Settlements 2, a mod for the popular Bethesda game Fallout 4. Its primary objective is to enrich the Commonwealth with new stories, locations, quests, NPCs, shops, and items, all contributing to the revival of this iconic game world. The mod introduces unique and dynamic experiences, as each house features its own story, and the locations appear randomly, ensuring that no two playthroughs are alike.

After being welcomed onto the team, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to audition for the role of Eve Mercer, who was later revealed to be a companion character for Concord Stories. Not long after submitting my audition, I was officially offered the role, and I couldn’t be more excited to get stuck in!

Who is Eve Mercer?

Eve Parker is the only child and beloved daughter of one of the most powerful figures in Good Neighbor, a high-ranking “big wig” whose influence stretches far across the wasteland. As the heir to her father’s considerable legacy, Eve is constantly under the watchful eyes of his Triggermen — a group of loyal enforcers tasked with ensuring that she stays out of trouble. Their presence is a constant reminder that her every move is being monitored, much to her frustration.

On the surface, Eve can come across as excessively theatrical, almost to the point of being a spoiled brat. She revels in the luxuries her father’s power affords her, often putting on an exaggerated, self-indulgent persona to mask her true feelings. Her sharp wit and dramatic flair make her seem like the typical pampered rich girl, but this act is only a mask she wears to hide her vulnerability and inner conflict.

Deep down, however, Eve is far more than her indulgent exterior suggests. When danger looms, she can shed her spoiled persona and show a surprising level of courage and resourcefulness. She’s quick to adapt when faced with real peril, showing a grit that few expect from someone raised in such comfort. Beneath her sometimes bratty demeanor lies a down-to-earth young woman who craves more than the suffocating life of privilege she’s been given.

Perhaps the most defining aspect of Eve’s character is her intense desire for freedom. She loathes the constant surveillance of her overprotective father and the Triggermen, feeling as though she’s trapped in a gilded cage. Despite the luxuries of her life, Eve dreams of breaking free — of escaping the expectations placed on her and step into a future full of excitement, adventure, and independence. She longs for a life beyond the power struggles of Good Neighbor, one where she can carve out her own destiny and face the unknown on her own terms.

Her journey is one of self-discovery, as she grapples with the weight of her father’s influence and her own yearning for a different life. Will she remain bound by the chains of her family’s power, or will she find the courage to escape into the world beyond, where her true adventure begins?
