“Oh… a word of warning… little cricket. Do NOT try to interfere with my ondoings again.” – Anise

Hidden in the fabric of Skyrim’s southwest woodland lies an unassuming little hut that all Skyrim players know well. In the glades near Riverwoood an old hermit makes her homestead, but is she truly everything she seems?

Indeed she is not! For Anise is the Hag Queen! A powerful sorceress of the Vile and the Dark, and the main antagonist for Coven of Crones.
Inspired by Auntie Ethel from Baldurs Gate 3, this creature of living nightmare will put you through your paces!
Can you defeat her before she can set her designs on the world of Mundus?
Only YOU Dragonborn can stop her.

As an officially licenced Bethesda Mod, Coven of Crones is now avaible for perchase on the Bethesda Creation’s collection.

Who is Anise?

Anise is the Hag queen of the marshes, a vile and powerful creature with a temperament to match.

In her human form, she retains her appearance as seen in vanilla Skyrim. Maintaing a disguise as an elderly woman, residing in a small shack outside of Riverwood.
Her true, hag form is much more imposing—slender yet powerful. She exudes an aura of decay, with a stench of sulfur and rotting flesh that makes her presence repulsive. Her appearance is intentionally grotesque and unsettling. Anise she is confident, stern, and condescending.
Her words are sharp and threatening, designed to provoke unease in the player.
When angered or engaged in combat, she is never childish or overly emotional. Even in heightened moments of intensity, she maintains an air of command, never veering into hysterics. She is authoritative and intimidating, similar to Ethel’s demeanor.

Anise’s fighting style mirrors that of the typical hagravens found in Skyrim.
However, she is significantly larger and stronger than her counterparts, though she still prefers to rely on magic. While capable of physical combat, particularly with her claws, she remains focused on using her magical abilities to dominate her opponents.
