Mod Brief:
In the ashes of the old world, Fallout: The New West drags players into a brutal wasteland inspired by Van Buren, the lost Fallout game that was never released. Built as a massive total conversion mod for Fallout: New Vegas, it tells a darker, harsher story filled with collapsing nations, savage deserts, and the ruins of forgotten technology.
You play as The Prisoner, a captive thrown into a dying frontier where the NCR, tribal armies, and the terrifying prison AI known as ODYSSEUS fight for control of the wasteland. Every settlement hides danger, every faction has its own agenda, and survival often comes at a terrible cost.
More than just a mod, The New West is an attempt to resurrect one of Fallout’s greatest “what ifs,” bringing the spirit of classic Fallout back to life with new quests, characters, weapons, and a story shaped by violence, choice, and the remains of a broken America.

Akisha Moon is a hardened yet fiercely curious survivor wandering the brutal frontier of Fallout: The New West, a wasteland filled with ruined nations, deadly factions, and the ghosts of the old world. Sharp-minded and difficult to read, she carries the scars of years spent surviving in a collapsing America, but unlike most scavengers, Akisha is driven by a deep fascination with forgotten history. With an adventurous spirit reminiscent of Indiana Jones, she dives into ancient vaults, buried bunkers, and pre-war ruins searching for lost technology, hidden lore, and the secrets left behind by civilization’s fall, believing the wasteland is not just a graveyard, but a story waiting to be uncovered.
